Choosing partitions for office zoning

What glass partitions are needed for zoning meeting rooms in a small office

Rooms for meetings, negotiations and discussions in a small office are often not separated from the general space. Due to this, not only direct, but also remote communication with customers and contractors via video communication interferes with everyone who is currently in the office. In this case, redevelopment is quite expensive, but zoning using CLG office partitions is an affordable option and a reasonable investment. We will understand in detail what is the benefit and what partitions are needed.

Transparent is better than matte

Transparent office partitions for meeting rooms are much more effective than translucent ones with a matte finish. The point is not only that transparent walls are energy efficient and allow natural light to enter the meeting room, even if it is not located near the window at all. Psychological research confirms that employees become more productive when they are potentially supervised. Consciously everyone understands that it is unlikely that any of the colleagues will be really interested in looking through the glass wall at how someone communicates via video with the manager of the client’s company. But subconsciously, the very fact that they can see from the outside makes a person be more collected, disciplined, use time rationally.

Aluminum frame is more practical and environmentally friendly than PVC

The aluminum frame of the Room dividers is light enough not to put too much stress on the walls and thus allow for mobile zoning. In addition, unlike PVC products, aluminum-based CLG office partitions are safer for people who are forced to work at least 6-8 hours 5 days a week. The metal alloy is light, like plastic, but even in extreme heat and under the influence of direct sunlight, it does not release toxic components into the air. And of course, metal frames and rails are more durable, and this is another important aspect in determining the environmental friendliness of the material for zoning.

There will be enough light in the meeting room with transparent walls and without its own window, and thanks to the rejection of PVC in favor of an aluminum frame, the employees in the glass cube will breathe comfortably and safely – after all, sometimes negotiations and meetings drag on for a long time.

Perfect soundproofing is not required

Manufacturers of plastic office partitions often focus on the fact that their products can provide a high level of soundproofing for workplaces. In practice, perfect isolation is not needed, even in a meeting room. Naturally, each company determines for itself the required degree of soundproofing of workplaces, but when considering options for organizing a meeting room in an open office, one should carefully evaluate the pros and cons of plastic versus aluminum. As a rule, if we are not talking about distributed teams with a structure in which there is a certain degree of secrecy between processes, non-hermetic glass walls on an aluminum frame are better than “deaf” ones on PVC.
