Base Shoe is a modern glass railing made of metal channels, glass and various fasteners.

This is a frameless version of the railing, used mainly as a fence for stairs, balconies and loggias. Due to its simple design, these railings are durable and do not require periodic maintenance.

As a rule, this type of construction is supplied without top rails, but you can always order them from us.

What are base shoe railings made of?

These railings contain lower aluminum U-channels into which both 1/2″ tempered glass panels and 9/16″ laminated glass panels can be inserted.

Also included are special clamps that connect the glass to each other at its joints.

At your request, we can add metal or wooden handrails, which will perfectly complement the overall design of the structure.

Differences from other types of railings

Unlike Post, Spigot and Stanoff Systems, glass railings with U-channels are designed to be installed as glass railings on external decks and balconies. With a simple yet durable construction, the Base Shoe is resistant to both moisture and strong winds.

Base Shoe Railings do not require additional side space for installation and securely mount to the floor.

I must say that at first I was a bit concerned due to the fact that I had no personal contact with anyone. Everything was through the phone, even the payment was programmed. However, they were very professional, very patient (I was pushing a bit to have it soon) and cordial from the beginning to the end. The glass is very good and they even cleaned it for me on the spot. Thank you once again. I surely recommend.
